The school took part in the Adidas School Fun Run for the fourth year to promote and encourage healthy living and physical activity, with more than half of the money raised from the event going directly back to the school.
Students and teachers met at Riverside Sporting Fields in Tamworth, where school sports co-ordinator Lisa Panton said they had a great time during the 3km run.
“We do it every year; it’s a great incentive for the school to be able to raise funds and in a healthy and active way,” she said.
“The students all had a great time while promoting lifelong physical activity.
“In the past, we have put the money raised towards sporting uniforms and other sport equipment.”
Ms Panton encouraged other schools in the Tamworth district to consider the fun run as a fundraiser for their school community.
