Weatherman Denyer no one-trick pony

ZANY Sunrise weatherman Grant Denyer did the forecast Tamworth style this morning, from the back of a horse at Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC).

Well the belly of Rocky the Australian stockhorse actually, as the stunt horse showed off one of his many tricks to breakfast audiences.

The popular weatherman told Tamworth what they already knew if they took a peek out their windows this morning, a cold and rainy day ahead for the New England North West.

A crowd of about forty people braved the early morning start to watch the program broadcast live from Tamworth.

The QLD based stunt show is in town for the Reining Australia Continental Championships at AELEC this week and said they had a big show planned for Saturday night's Gold Buckle Futurity event.

Saying he was a bit worried about the dimunitive weatherman's riding ability at first, he said Denyer got right into the spirit of things at the end.

"He's like me, got the shoulders of brown snake," Mr Manchon said.

Denyer also broadcast live from the Mount Misery Gold Mine Museum in Nundle on Wednesday morning.
