Country have been in town since Tuesday in preparation for the AAMI City Country clash at Scully Park on Sunday, with early ticket sales suggesting that the new ground will see it's first full house.
CRL media manager Adam Kidd said that as of Tuesday lunch time there was only 1200 tickets left of 7000 that went on sale.
"There was a lot of people left outside the gate at the same game in Wagga last year," Kidd said.
"This is the best sales we have seen for at least a few years so anyone who wants to come should be getting tickets now."
The Country players did a school blitz of eight local schools yesterday morning, thrilling plenty of local juniors and fans, signing boots and jerseys before talking to the kids about health and wellbeing and what it takes to be a professional sportsman.
Roosters utility and Country debutante Mitch Aubusson said it was great to see so many kids eager to get involved and meet the players.
"We asked who was coming to the game and almost every hand went up," Aubusson said.
The 200 game one club player went on to say that the opposed session against the Group 4 premiers was the first step towards switching on for game day and setting combinations.
The AAMI City Country day will include three matches with plenty of local juniors getting an opportunity to play in front of a big crowd as the Greater Northern Tigers U16s kick of the event at midday with their Country Championship final against Western before the U18 final followed by the main event at 4pm.
Tickets are available through Wests League Club.
