Police confirmed the road was reopened just before 4pm.
One person who was injured in the crash was taken to Tamworth hospital with suspected fractures.
The crash, involving a motorbike and a car, occurred at the intersection of Marius St and Hill St.

EARLIER: Drivers are being urged to avoid Marius St in Tamworth after a crash between a vehicle and a motorbike on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Marius and Hill Streets just after 2.30pm on Thursday after reports of a crash involving one vehicle and a motorbike.
Police and ambulance paramedics are on scene.
The crash has forced the closure of both southbound lanes of Marius St.
Police have blocked traffic at the intersection of Murray and Marius streets, as well as White and Marius streets.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and use diversions in Peel and Carthage streets.
