Broadie died on April 19 after a short battle with cancer, just five weeks after being diagnosed and six months after making a new home in Nundle.
His private funeral is on Wednesday, and, from 6pm, Broadie’s mother, Margaret Ingrassia, and family, his partner, Rachel Webster, and sons Oskar and Travis invite everyone to celebrate his life at Coogee Diggers, Carr St.
The 44-year-old hosted the Bunker Sessions at this venue and it will be an opportunity for friends to share stories and music, sadness and joy.
The family has encouraged people to donate to Chris O’Brien Lifehouse at www.mylifehouse.org.au in lieu of flowers.
Friends, family and fans will also celebrate his life and raise money for his family at the Concert For Karl at The DAG Sheep Station, Nundle, on June 18.
The concert will feature Sara Storer, Graeme Connors and Shane Nicholson as well as a range of artists who loved or admired Broadie.
