ANZAC day is an opportunity for Australian's to stop and acknowledge the sacrifice that servicemen and women have made for us.
As a sign of respect and gratitude, St Joseph's children are asked to march for these brave men and women.
Last year we had over 80 students march, it would be wonderful to not only match this figure, but surpass it in 2016.
We look forward to seeing all students at the Quirindi Post office at 10.40am on Monday April 25.
Sydney Royal success
Congratulations to Brad Forsyth and Isabella Stinson who, with their horses, recently competed at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
It is wonderful today's children have such amazing opportunities. Well done to Brad on being award the U'12's champion stock horse.
Farewell and thank you
St Joseph's has farewelled Miss Sarah Cudmore at the end of term one.
Sarah has made a significant contribution to the learning of students across the school.
Her dedicated approach to the profession and strong connection with all children make her an asset to any school.
Thank you Sarah, and we look forward to seeing you back at St Joseph's sooner rather than later.
While sad to lose Sarah, St Joseph's looks forward to welcoming back Mrs Amanda Bartholomew, who has been on maternity leave. Mrs Bartholomew will be responsible for the learning of Year 2 for literacy and numeracy and then support the other teachers in their relief from face to face teaching.
Achievements
Finally, we would like to acknowledge the efforts of the entire school community, particularly our students, on their efforts and dedication throughout the term.
For a school that has a 'relentless focus on learning' it has been inspiring to witness the commitment of each student to learn and grow.
Wishing you a safe and fabulous two weeks with your children.
