The CBR 48 tested runners to push themselves for 48 hours, clocking up as many kilometres as possible while completing laps of the track and field facility at the Australian Institute of Sport.
Mr Wright completed 459 laps during the 48-hour race, covering a distance of 183 kilometres.
The race winner, Mick Thwaites, ran a staggering 413km to take out the race.
Mr Wright said Canberra had offered up all four seasons over the two-day marathon, which added to the challenge.
Mr Wright is already gearing up for his next feat of endurance, lining up a 30-hour treadmill run at Anytime Fitness starting on April 6.
