WE WOULD like to acknowledge the efforts of the Year 12 students of Oxley High School 2012.
This year the students have raised $3895.35 for the Alison Watt Charity Appeal.
Additional fundraising has continued through their website www.alisonwattappeal.com
On June 15, 2012, we presented the Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital with an echocardiogram machine.
We raised the funds to purchase this machine through many fundraising events which have been well supported by the whole Tamworth community and by Masonicare.
The cheque for $3895.35 has been forwarded to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital to assist in covering the costs of maintaining the machine in our local hospital.
In the coming weeks, Alison’s classmates will be sitting the HSC. We wish them every success with their exams.
We know they will make their families and Oxley High School proud of their achievements.
These young adults have already demonstrated strong community values, maturity and a desire to succeed. We feel sure that the next chapter in their lives will embrace all of these attributes and ensure they will continue to succeed in their chosen fields.
Brett and I have been overwhelmed with the support we have received from the Tamworth community since Alison’s unexpected death in October 2008.
Our community has proved what can be achieved when we work together. Thank you to our community. It is greatly appreciated.
