EARLY BIRD tickets for the 2013 Tamworth Country Music Festival were released yesterday.
Shows including John Williamson’s The Big Red, Troy Cassar-Daley and Friends, Jetty Road Live in Concert and Australian country music’s “night of nights” – the 41st Country Music Awards of Australia – have been released for sale.
About 40 shows have been placed on sale with an estimated further 60 shows to go on sale between now and the 41st Tamworth Country Music Festival in January.
Tamworth Regional Council manager of entertainment venues, Peter Ross, said early bird tickets were a fantastic way for festival fans to get in early and secure their seats before they sell out.
“Events such as the Country Music Awards of Australia and many of the headlining acts are so popular that they often sell out well in advance of the festival,” Mr Ross said.
“We advise festival fans to purchase their tickets through the festival website – www.tcmf.com.au – or from Destination Tamworth on 6767 5300 as soon as possible as tickets disappear quickly.”
Tamworth Regional Council unveiled the all-new 2013 festival website in time for the first ticket sales.
The unveiling of the new site marks another significant move forward for Tamworth Regional Council in its efforts to increase the online presence of the festival and embrace the latest in online technologies.
“We are delighted that the sales of early bird tickets have been going so well and the new website is so intuitive that it makes it very easy for festival fans to find and purchase their tickets and to keep an eye on new shows as they are released,” festival co-ordinator Kate Baker said.
She said with ticket sales already climbing and social media following at an all-time high, the 2013 festival was set to be another record year.
