The Tamworth MP says he campaigned directly on behalf of the Walcha community in Parliament, again putting forward its case against the proposed Walcha-Tamworth merger plan.
Mr Anderson said Mr Toole indicated the views of the community would form an important part of the report the delegate for the proposed Tamworth and Walcha merger would produce, as would an examination of financial considerations, communities of interest, elected representation, employment of staff and services and facilities.
“I will continue to advocate and push for Walcha to stand alone at every opportunity,” Mr Anderson said.
He said community members clearly let the delegate know their thoughts.
He encourages anyone who didn’t speak at the meetings or required more time to make their points to make a written submission before February 28.
