WE HAVE been ignored by the federal and state governments in Tamworth, while smaller communities surrounding us have been recognised.
Annoyed? Well I am.
We voted National (code for Liberal) because that’s the entity that drives the party train, for the reason that we foolishly believed, by doing so, they would finally deliver vital services to us, such as the National Broadband Network, and a fairer distribution of resources and services which are allocated within NSW by the federal and state Liberal governments.
But that hasn’t happened.
Working on my business’s computer day in, day out is driving me nuts, because the PC, in spite of updates and regular servicing, becomes slower and more sluggish every time I turn it on, while people up the road in Armidale and closer than that have been enjoying the NBN for quite a long time.
Do we want our business sector to grow and provide jobs, or do we just sit back and take it?
You can send a strong message to the Nationals/Liberals at the upcoming federal election by voting for any party, or independent, other than the Nationals or Liberals.
Even the Labor Party would’ve had the NBN in Tamworth by now and they wouldn’t be trying to force a GST increase on us all, which will happen by stealth anyway if you vote any National or Liberal candidate back in.
Forget voter loyalty – there is no politician I know of who respects the meaning of the word loyalty, other than to the party they serve, and even then it’s self-serving.
