It is the final session for the GNA’s Cubs and Tigers squads before they play the Newcastle Knights’ Under 15 and 17 squads at Kurri Kurri next Saturday.
“It is their final session before the Knights trials,” GNA manager Scott Bone confirmed this week.
“These are always tough games for us. It’s good for the boys and a good test for them all.
“It also gives all the boys an opportunity to see where they are at.
“And a few of them in the Tigers’ (older) squad will have played with a few of the Knights players.
“Some of the Knights have been in the Greater Northern junior representative teams so that will also make it more interesting.”
After playing the Knights next weekend the two GNA squads return to the training field on Sunday, February 21 as a final preparation for the major and final part of the GNA program – Academy Games at Narrabeen Fitness Centre.
“We go down there and play all the other academies,” Bone said.
