ALTHOUGH drivers often get stung at the fuel pump during a long weekend, this week fuel prices remained stable.
The NRMA reported that Sydney’s terminal gate price for unleaded fuel fell marginally to 137.2 cents per litre and Tamworth’s fuel prices remained steady with averages of 151.9c per litre for unleaded, 155.1c for diesel 155.1, E10 was 149.8c on average and LPG was 86 cents.
The NRMA predicted fuel prices would drop this week with the average terminal gate price for unleaded down and the Australian dollar falling against the US dollar by 1.1 cents.
The region’s average prices on the long weekend:
Armidale – 154.9 cents per litre for diesel, 146.9 cents per litre for E10 and 84.2 cents per litre for LPG.
Glen Innes – 144.9c/L for diesel, 141.6c/L for E10 and 76.9c/L for LPG.
Gunnedah – Unleaded was 148.9c/L, 152.9c/L for diesel, E10 was 146.9c/L and LPG was 91.9c/L.
Inverell’s average unleaded petrol price was 148.3c/L, diesel was 152.3c/L, E10 was 147.5c/L and 98.9c/L for LPG.
Moree had an average price of 152c/L for unleaded petrol, 153.5c/L for diesel, 145.2c/L for E10 and LPG was 93.3c/L.
