They’ll even throw in coaching sessions and a barbecue lunch.
West Tamworth coach Mitch Power confirmed the “Free Tennis” when The Leader called in for a chat and quick happy snap on Monday.
“Everything’s free,” he said.
“All the coaches are coming in and giving free coaching sessions for anyone who wants one.
“We’ve also got a free cardio tennis group as well for the adults.
“They go through their drills and have a cardio work out at the same time.
“It’s non-stop and good for their fitness.
“There are plenty of prizes as well to be given away and then we’ll have a free barbecue after it’s all over.”
He said the free day starts at 8am and runs through until 1pm.
It’s for all age groups, young and younger, and it’s on at a time where the Australian Open has captured a lot of attention.
“It’s for players of all standards,” Power said.
“If someone hasn’t played for years and wants to get back into it or if they’ve just taken it up, it’s here for everyone to enjoy.”
