Drugs found after search of Narrabri house

DRUGS and cultivation equipment were found during searches at Narrabri and Moree last week.

On Thursday officers from Barwon Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a cabin in Narrabri.

During the search police seized a number of items, including some cannabis.

Police later found a 42-year-old man at a home in Ugoa St.

He was ordered to appear at Narrabri Local Court on November 27 on charges of possessing a prohibited drug.

On Friday, officers attached to Operation Tilton searched a home in James St, Moree, and found cannabis plants in a shed in what they will allege was a crude hydroponic cultivation.

The plants and equipment were seized.

A 49-year-old man, who was at home at the time, is assisting police with their inquiries.
