TWO men will face Tamworth Local Court after being caught with cannabis at the weekend.
A 32-year-old Tamworth man admitted to having cannabis and drug implements in his vehicle after being stopped by police on Scott Rd about 5pm on Saturday.
A search revealed a small amount of cannabis, a bong and morphine.
He was arrested and charged with possessing a prohibited drug, possessing drug implements and possession of a prescribed restricted substance, as well as traffic offences.
He was granted bail and will appear at Tamworth Local Court on October 22.
In a separate incident, police were refuelling at a Tamworth service station about 11pm on Friday when their attention was drawn to a Mitsubishi van that had parked in an unusual manner.
The driver was breath-tested before a search revealed a small amount of cannabis on him and in his vehicle.
He will attend Tamworth Local Court at a later date.
