Harrison Ford has walked the red carpet at the Sydney Opera House, expressing delight at the large turnout of fans.
The actor is reprising his role as Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and turned up at the Sydney venue on Thursday at a fan event ahead of the release of the film next week.
"I'm delighted, it's beautiful," Harrison said as he surveyed his surroundings.
Ford spent a long time signing autographs and posing for selfies with the hoards of fans who turned up, many in costumes from the film and some brandishing lightsabers.
The actor also took part in a Q&A with a fellow Star Wars alumni, Kiwi actor Jay Laga'aia on the Opera House forecourt.
