Among them are Darryl Johnston and Alex Milne from Brown and Hurley in Tamworth, who grew moustaches for the awareness month and raised $1200 between them for men’s health charities.
It was Mr Johnston’s first time as a Movember participant. He said he’d received all sorts of comments about his new look, but he’d enjoyed the experience and would consider growing a mo again next year.
“It was a great team effort and it’s for a good cause, and we just want to thank everyone who supported us,” he said yesterday.
As for the mo, though, it seems to have worn out its welcome and “could be on the way out”.
“I said to my partner this morning I might keep it – but she doesn’t think so,” Mr Johnston laughed.
