Thirteen finalists, who had progressed through the first two elimination rounds competed against each other for the title of Spelling Bee Champion.
In addition to demonstrating their ability to spell, students were tested on their knowledge of spelling rules, word definitions and use of vocabulary in context.
A closely fought final, resulted in a draw for first place between year six students Sisi Orvad and Abbey McGrath with Ashleigh Aitkin taking out second place.
Encouragement awards were also awarded to students from each class who had demonstrated effort and achievement in spelling.
The winners of the encouragement awards were Ryan Southern, Kaitlyn Heywood and Milarni Rose Cloake from year six and Eleanor Pawsey, Wilbur Taylor and Jade Reading from year five.
Following the final all stage three students took part in a fun group challenge.
Teams competed to unscramble words and correctly decipher and spell words from charades and picture clues.
