The school raised about $6000 from its annual Christmas Fair on Saturday, which will go towards a communication program for the students.
Relieving principal Brett Pearson said the money raised was a joint venture between the P&C Association and a member of the community.
“It’s not just about raising funds for the school, but because we have kids who have challenges and issues with accessing community events, it’s a good opportunity for our parents to come along to an event in an environment that their children know and are familiar with,” he said.
“It’s about that social aspect, as well.”
Mr Pearson said he was “very pleased with the turnout and how successful” the event was.
“The weather probably reduced the numbers a little bit, but as the afternoon wore on, there was a coolish breeze,” he said.
“We had Santa visit and Santa is coming back for the final day of school.”
