While the picturesque course is located right near the water the temperature was a baking hot 37C.
New signings prop Mose Masoe, from St Helens, Dunamis Lui, from Manly, Siliva Havili, from the New Zealand Warriors, Sebastine Ikahihifo, from New Zealand Warriors, Kurt Mann from Melbourne Storm, and established Dragons stars Josh Dugan, Joel Thompson and skipper Ben Creagh and halfback Benji Marshall were at the coastal course.
Dugan, Creagh and Marshall didn’t play golf like most of the NRL squad as the trio are recovering from surgery.
Dugan recently had surgery on a bulging disc, and Creagh had a shoulder operation and Marshall has had ankle surgery.
The trio return to full-time training in the New Year.
New prop Mose Masoe, the 130 kilogram forward, is with the Dragons after a two-year stint with stint with British Superleague team St Helens.
The former Sydney Roosters and Penrith prop said he is settling in well at the Dragons at pre-season training.
‘‘I started with the new signings on October 28, two weeks ahead of the rest of the squad,’’ Masoe said.
‘‘I am enjoying being here with the Dragons and I am looking forward to the 2016 season.’’
Second rower Joel Thomspon said he’s been keen to work hard at training and his troublesome hamstring is now healed.
Thompson said carried the hamstring injury for the latter part of the 2015 season.
‘‘We have set ourselves high expectations again next year after making the top eight in 2015,’’ Thompson said.
