The Leader weekly poll - education

The New South Wales Government has announced $1.7 billion worth of funding cuts across the education sector.

It says 800 jobs will be cut at TAFE institutions, with fees rising from next year and public schools will also feel the pinch with 600 department jobs lost.

Funding to Catholic and independent schools will be frozen, saving $116 million over the next four years.

Do you think these cuts will impact on the quality of education?
