This annual event is coordinated by the Tamworth RSL Sub-Branch and includes a wreath laying ceremony.

Halle Scarth, Xavier Radford, Georgia Stoddart and Jason Liyanarachchi represented the school community and lay a wreath on our behalf.

They were excellent ambassadors for our school and undertook their duties with respect, dignity and pride.

Each of the classrooms in the school observed a minutes silence at 11am to honour the fallen.

Movember

In week two of Movember and our total money raised has been growing much the same as the moustaches - slowly but steadily.

Meanwhile, the lady staff members involved in the Move-ember effort have been contributing a huge amount to the team through an enormous amount of daily physical activity.

So far, the ladies are well and truly outdoing the men with their fundraising totals. Perhaps another week or two of facial hair growth will see the men's fundraising totals start to climb.

A massive thank you to all those who have given a donation or shown support already, you have been incredibly generous.

Each week we are going to keep the school updated on our fundraising progress by slowly filling up the fundraising thermometer at assembly, as well as giving an update in the Magpie.

There is also a fun charity day being organised by the SRC related to Movember that students will be involved with, so stay tuned for that as well.

We are still aiming for the impressive goal of $5000 dollars by the end of the month.
