A week and a half after the Melbourne Cup, a developed print is needed to decide which is still reverberating louder: Michelle Payne's win, or the reaction to it. We may or may not still be talking about Payne in 85 years, as with Phar Lap, but we should at least be able to maintain the glow for 10 days.
