The 2016 Toyota Country Music Cavalcade theme is “celebrate the music and milestones”, which encourages participants to design floats in a way that celebrates what country music is to them.
It is the same theme that will be celebrated during the CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia.
Cavalcade entries opened later than normal due to changing insurance requirements.
Tamworth Country Music Unit manager Barry Harley said participants should read the terms and conditions carefully when entering.
“There is only a minor change and we have ensured this is clearly set out on the application form, but we are encouraging people to get in touch with us if they have any queries or concerns,” he said.
The popular event is a fantastic opportunity for local and regional groups to be part of one of the biggest events in the festival program and, with a cash prize of $3000, it’s a great way to be rewarded for participating.
The cavalcade will start rolling at 9am on Saturday, January 23 from the corner of Peel and Hill streets, Tamworth.
Entry forms are at www.tcmf.com.au or call on 6767 5555.
