The Nundle Memorial Hall will host the exhibition. It opens with a gala night tonight from 7pm, which includes a champagne supper and live music compliments of Nundle Public School students.
All artworks on display are for sale and CWA members will provide refreshments in the hall to sustain people while they peruse the diverse works ranging from sculptural pieces to photography, watercolours, pastels, drawings and paintings.
Multimedia artist Hugh Oliveiro will judge the show and will give feedback to the artists on their works on opening night.
Mr Oliveiro lives in Tamworth, but has travelled extensively and has designed sets and costumes for the Australian Ballet, a gigantic mural for the entrance foyer at the Victorian Arts Centre and artworks for the Park Hyatt Hotel in Sydney and at the Australian embassy in Paris.
The annual CWA Art Show began in 1965 to raise funds for the CWA rooms, so that a preschool could begin to operate on the premises.
The preschool is still there, but the building also acts as a surgery for Hunter New England Health, as well as a meeting place for other groups.
Money raised from the show this year will be used to service a loan to renovate the CWA rooms.
