The Under 12 cricket side won its first game of the Ross Panton Cup Northern Inland Cricket Council season in Tamworth against Armidale by three runs.
On Sunday the Golds beat beat Inverell by four runs.
Hood speculated that their next win might be five at Narrabri on November 29.
What he was impressed about was the continued good form and commitment from his players.
“And it was another good day for us with all five Tamworth junior teams winning,” he said.
Not only did the Tamworth Gold Under 12, 13 and 15 sides win their Ross Panton Cup (U12), Tim Grosser Cup (U14) and Ross Taylor Cup (U16) Northern Inland Cricket Council games, but the two Tamworth Blue sides also beat Cessnock in their Hunter Valley Junior Cricket Council games as well.
Hood’s Golds had to fight hard throughout against Inverell on the Riverside 8 pitch, making 3-72 in their first 20 overs and then had Inverell 5-71 after their 20-over stint.
In their second 20 the Golds finished with 119 after Thomas Laird (16), Sam Clark (15) and Max Keft-Gill (14) led the way. Sundries topscored with 56, 38 of which were wides.
“Max Keft-Gill batted very well, batted for something like 24 overs opening the batting for us,” Hood said.
“Then we bowled them out for 115 and a four-run win.
“The boys did really well again, stuck to their task and bowled pretty good line and length.”
Navida Geeganage (3-11) and Deni Baker (3-18) were the pick of the Gold bowlers while Inverell’s Brayden Campion was a standout.
He topscored for Inverell with 48 and was last batsman out.
He also claimed 3-5 off his five overs.
The three Tamworth Gold sides also won their first-round matches against Armidale in Tamworth and backed up to make a clean sweep of Inverell.
The Gold Under 13s demolished Inverell Under 14s in their Tim Grosser Cup match with Jessica Davidson claiming 3-5 to whip out the visitors for 41.
Oscar Spinks and Daniel Stuart also took 2-6 while Davidson (15) and Kurt Barton (15no) both contributed with the bat in the brief 2-48 run chase.
The Gold 15s also had a big win, making 5-285 in their 50 overs and then restricting Inverell to 8-81.
Hamish Fauchon was the star, compiling 122 and, with fellow opener, Lachlan Bradfield, posting a 151-run stand.
Bradfield hit nine fours in his 80.
Fauchon, who smacked 11 boundaries, then combined with Joe Doherty (44no) in a 111-run second wicket stand.
Lachlan Barton then spearheaded the bowling, capturing 4-16.
Alex Roseby (2-3), James Austin (1-34) and Logan Barnes (1-1) also bowled with success.
