I HAD the pleasure of going to the new Blood Bank facility at the Longyard Homemakers centre recently.
What a great facility it is. It is spacious, functional and provides a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff is friendly, efficient – and sometimes entertaining. They are so good, even giving you a needle is painless.
Parking is right at the front door. No more fighting with builders or a 15-minute hike to get a car park. It’s all right there for the donors.
If you have let your donations slip lately get yourself out to the new Blood Bank. It will be a rewarding and pleasant experience and you will find yourself looking forward to your next donation appointment.
If you have not donated before go and have a look and check it out. With each donation you can save three lives and if that does not make you feel good I don’t know what does.
Oh, and after you have made you donation you can enjoy the best milkshake you have ever tasted. Yes Helen (the world’s best milkshake maker) now travels over the bridge to give donors that special service that only she can give.
