AS A visitor to your city, one who lives next to world heritage rainforest in North Queensland on a dairy farmand who is used to looking at unspoiled natural beauty everyday, I would like to say what my reaction was when I was taken for a drive down King George V Ave’s of oaks.
I thought it was the most beautiful drive I had ever seen. The ambience and green freshness needed by your dry city can never be replaced except by time.
If this avenue was in Europe it would be protected.
I hope in my frequent holidays to Tamworth I will always be able to drive under those stately trees.
