Tamworth Gymnastics Club came away with three more overall state champions at the recent NSWGA Regional State Titles held at Gosford.
Every gymnast selected to represent the North West region came home with at least one state medal and of those who represented the region, 12 were from Tamworth.
Leading the way was eight- year-old Harriet Fay who placed first on bars and floor to take overall second place trophy in level one junior.
Harriet was also part of an extremely successful North West team that placed first on vault and bars, second on floor and third on beam to also be placed first overall team.
Following behind Harriet were Paige Seaton competing on level one intermediate and Skyler Dowden competing on level two intermediate.
Individually, Paige placed first on vault and third on beam and third overall as well being part of the North West team which placed first on vault, bars and beam and first overall.
Skyler also managed to place third overall after coming second on vault and bars individually and placing first on vault, third on bars and second overall as part of the North West team.
In other individual results, Abby McGrath was first on beam in level one intermediate, Jemma Baker was third on bars on level one senior, Hannah Dowden was first on floor on level one senior, Josie Douglas placed third on vault on level two intermediate, Mikaela Short came second on vault on level three junior, Holly Balcombe was third on vault on level three intermediate and Alice Murphy finished second on vault on level three senior.
Lexi May and Ellie Hannaford were also part of the level two intermediate team that placed first on vault, third on bars and second overall in the teams event.
Meanwhile, level four and five gymnasts have been travelling to Sydney to contest the NSW state trials every second weekend in preparation for their state titles in early October.
It is a busy time for the Northern Inland Credit Union-sponsored club as the level one to three gymnasts will also be contesting the state clubs’ event at the same time.
Prior to all these upcoming carnivals, the club will be conducting a holiday camp program for girls aged five years and above in the first week of the school holidays.
The camps run from Monday to Friday from 9am to noon and features games, skills and competitions with lots of prizes.
