While in the region, Brooke, Sam and Mollie McClymont helped to launch the new Toyota Hilux in Tamworth and Gunnedah, as they are Toyota ambassadors, and they also played a few acoustic songs for media outlets, including an exclusive performance at The Northern Daily Leader.
The sister trio is currently taking a look back at the last decade of hits as they prepare for their Tamworth festival show on January 21, 10 Years of Hits.
They said the lunchtime show would include the hits, their favourites and fan favourites.
“We are trying to cover as much history as possible,” Sam said.
“Three Toyota Star Makers will perform on our show, so there are three people out there who don’t know they’re playing on our show yet.”
Brooke said the lunchtime show was different for them, but it meant they got to see other bands as well, and Mollie said playing at that time was so enjoyable for them.
The show will include songs from their debut EP and their four albums.
It’s been a busy year for the women, with Mollie being the most recently married – they’re now all married – Sam has been filming Farmer Wants A Wife as the host and hosting on Getaway and Brooke will appear in a movie next year called Spin Out.
Mollie said they were all fans of Farmer Wants A Wife, so were excited to see Sam hosting, with the show airing next year.
“It’s been off for three years, so people will be eager to see it again,” Sam said.
“I haven’t even told the girls what happens.”
Spin Out will be released in September next year and sees Brooke playing Michelle in the romantic comedy set over 24 hours at a ute muster.
Tim Ferguson wrote and directed the movie, which was shot over four weeks in Shepparton.
“They were looking for someone who could sing and asked me,” Brooke said.
“It was going in the deep end because I wasn’t expecting anything from it and thought I was just singing in it, but I had speaking parts as well.”
Mollie said they were lucky that music had brought the sisters “all these amazing opportunities”.
The region will welcome the trio back in January for their show at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre on January 21.
