While waiting, a mother with three daughters sat on a seat opposite on the platform. 

The small child of about three, stood on the seat and pointed at me and asked her mother, “Is that the kidnapping man?” 

Somewhat embarrassed, the mother assured the little daughter that no, I was not the  “kidnapping man”. 

The small child then pointed to another man not far away and asked the same question, and again the mother, embarrassed, assured her that neither was that man. 

With that, the mother apologised and explained that to stop her daughter wandering away in the shopping centre, she controls her by this remark. 

I must say, as an Australian male, I was somewhat annoyed that this parent was vilifying men in this sort of way.
