More than 250 dogs of all shapes and sizes competed at Tamworth's Australia Equine Livestock and Events Centre and event manager Michelle Kenny said there have been a few extra water bowls lying around to help the dogs handle the hot conditions.
She said some dogs missed out on qualifying by a hundredth of a second.
