ALL NSW backyard pools will have to be registered under a safety crackdown by the state government, announced this week.
Under the proposed legislation, a state wide online registry will be established and the 340,000 pools in NSW will have to be registered within 12 months, Local Government Minister Don Page said.
Property owners who don’t register their pools within that time will face fines of $2200.
This week The Leader asks our online readers whether a recent crackdown on backyard pool safety by the state government is enough to save kid's lives.
