Participants in the annual KidzFix Rally, which left Gympie on Friday, enjoyed their brief stopover in Tamworth yesterday.
Tamworth’s Ian Alford, and Quirindi’s Derek Blomfield, were among the rally participants, and enjoyed showing off the Country Music Capital to their newfound friends and fellow rally drivers.
From Tamworth they were heading towards Mudgee for a “lay day”, before getting back behind the wheel pointed in the direction of Nowra, on the NSW South Coast.
They’re raising money for NETS (Newborn and Paediatric Emergency Transfer Service) to fully equip a new ambulance for the Nowra district.
NETS also plans to have dedicated ambulances based in Tamworth and Dubbo in the near future.
