Portrait of a man who wants top job
ACCORDING to Gerard Henderson, Tony Abbott does not remember punching walls. And in an interview with Tony Jones, Abbott did not remember a visit with Bishop George Pell in 2004.
More recently during an interview with Leigh Sales, the forgetful PM-aspirant said he did not read Marius Koppers’ article; then he said he read it only later.
Gerard Henderson also says, when a student, Tony Abbott, by sheer force of will, pulled bars off windows of a burning house and rescued children from inside.
Lies and truths not withstanding, this to me presents an utterly believable portrait of a man willing to give whatever for the top job.
