Local Government Minister Paul Toole has been urged to investigate serious allegations made against Liverpool's mayor aired in State Parliament.

The allegations, which range from Ned Mannoun's father receiving apartments from developers to references to a mysterious fire that destroyed a council building, were outlined by Shooters and Fishers MP Robert Borsak under parliamentary privilege on Thursday night.
"I strongly urge the Minister for Local Government to undertake an immediate investigation into all points raised by me today," Mr Borsak said.
Cr Mannoun told Fairfax Media he denied all the allegations "100 per cent" and accused the Labor Party of attempting to smear him in order to regain the Liverpool mayoralty.
"It's an outrageous attack done in Parliament under parliamentary privilege," he said.
The allegations aired were not limited to Cr Mannoun's time at council, with Mr Borsak claiming his employment at the Mt Pritchard Community Club ended after "a large number of gym memberships were allegedly taken by Ned" and resold "with the club receiving no payment".
Mr Borsak noted Cr Mannoun was elected in 2008, two years before Liverpool Council's administration building burned down.
"How and why is still a mystery, but clearly a lot of accelerant was used," he said. "Ned was joined by Mr Sam Bargshoon, who just minutes after the fire started, stood outside watching it burn throughout the night."
Mr Borsak also told Parliament there had been a "dramatic increase" in the number of staff closely aligned to the Liberal Party who were appointed outside usual council protocols since Cr Mannoun became mayor in 2012, when, Mr Borsak said, his family became a means to smooth the way for high-rise development in Liverpool.
"It is widely acknowledged amongst developers, that if you want to get your high-rise development approved, it helps to give a unit to Ned's father," Mr Borsak said.
"The development at 1 Mill Road, Liverpool, reportedly gave Ned's dad three apartments."
Mr Borsak, who declined to comment beyond his statement to Parliament, also made a number of claims against Liverpool Council chief executive Carl Wullf.
Liverpool Council said it would issue a response to them on Friday.
A spokesman for Mr Toole said the minister was yet to see the allegations made by Mr Borsak.
