A MOTORBIKE rider escaped serious injury in Tamworth yesterday morning after his bike was wedged in the front of a car after a minor accident in Belmore St.
About 10am, ambulance paramedics attended the collision scene to treat the driver of a station wagon.
The man, in his 50s, sustained a leg injury and was transported to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.
The motorcycle rider, in his 60s, whose bike was jammed into the vehicle’s wheel arch, suffered only a few scratches.
Police in two vehicles were dispatched to control traffic and gather statements from witnesses.
The collision occurred outside the West Tamworth Bowling Club.
