Sarah Dowton and Logan-Maree Gunthorpe are thrilled to receive their offers to study at Bond.
This is indeed a rare and deserving privilege for both students, who have shown an outstanding contribution to their academic and community pursuits.
Sarah will be studying a bachelor of business, while Logan-Maree will undertake a bachelor of architectural studies.
Both girls said they were extremely excited about the prospect of studying at one of Australia’s most prestigious universities, but still have their eyes firmly on the HSC.
A representative from Bond University suggested the girls were simply worthy recipients and the university was honoured to have two outstanding young ladies of such distinguished dispositions. Well done, Sarah and Logan-Maree.
In addition, four Calrossy students have also secured places in the highly competitive residential colleges of the University of Sydney for 2016.
Alice Arnott will be attending St Andrews, Rebekah Cox-McGowan has been accepted into Women’s College, while Sophie Wainwright and Logan-Maree Gunthorpe, in addition to her offer from Bond, were successful in their application to Sancta Sophia. These colleges have a rich history in academic rigour and all boost a strong alumni association.
These application processes are exceedingly selective, with students having to demonstrate outstanding leadership, academic consistency and community involvement.
These students are well deserving of these offers and our congratulations to all of them.
