Staff in Maternity and ED are in crisis. Tamworth, they need our support and they need it now.
We may have a beautiful new hospital, for which we can be thankful, but as was said on the nigh “it is only bricks and mortar”.
Without the correct number of staff it is useless. Without the correct number of staff, we will start to see less staff, as they are so stressed they will leave. If no stress leave is available, they may leave their chosen profession.
Tamworth, please find and sign the petition, write to our local member, write to hospital management.
We heard at the meeting that there has been an Industrial Relations Commission report that the hospital is understaffed.
It needs actioning on and it needs actioning now.
