The association is holding an Old Boys Day this Saturday.
The idea for the day sprung from the Tamworth Charity League, which ran during the middle of the season.
“We had a few old players come back and help out,” organiser Dave King said.
“Basil Penrith came back to coach. Michael Carter came back and played.”
“It was a natural progression from there.”
King said anybody that has played baseball in Tamworth from Federation to now and is currently not playing is welcome to be involved.
“It’s a bit of fun towards the end to finish the year off,” he said.
“A chance to come down and catch up with mates from the old days.”
They’ll play a shortened game, then watch the A grade preliminary final and have a get-together afterwards.
King is expecting they’ll get at least 20 players.
“Four I know of are coming from Gunnedah,” he said.
“They haven’t played for 15 years.”
They’ll gather at 12.30pm for a game start at 1pm, and then watch the Warriors and Gunnedah game.
