The recent federal budget delivered some relief by cutting the small business tax rate from 30 per cent to 28.5 per cent and it allowed for a change to the threshold for assets that are brought by small business, but I feel that it is only the start.

Tamworth is a growing rural city and small business is at the heart of our economy, as it is all over rural Australia.
If small business is to compete, then there must be further changes to allow them to continue to keep the doors open and employ people.
There needs to be more legislative changes to eliminate the red tape that small business face otherwise I fear we will live in a stagnant economy and our rural city of Tamworth won’t prosper.
