Their children are distraught over the disappearance of Slick and Reba.
Slick, a wolfhound/deerhound cross and his bull terrier cross friend, Reba, were with the Gillogly family on their property on Mayvale Rd, Barraba, on June 19, but went missing in the late afternoon.
Both dogs are working dogs, but also members of the family.
Slick was given to 13-year-old Jayden after he finished chemotherapy and surgery for liver cancer.
Reba is 10-year-old Kaila’s dog and is only 12 months old.
Kaila has anxiety and is deeply missing her best mate.
Mum, Nicole, said there had been tears and questions from her children about how their mates could have just disappeared.
“I’ve been on social media, radio, telephoned every vet and pound in the area and I just don’t know what else to do,”Mrs Goillogly said.
“I’ve gone everywhere.”
“We believe they may have been taken off the property or possibly picked up.”
Mrs Gillogly and family are now offering a reward for the safe return of their pets.
If you have information that could help the family, contact Mrs Gillogly on 0427 827 238.
