I need to research the definition of “National Party”, but, seeing as it no longer contains the word “country”, it must not relate to rural people.

Do a “Bronnie” and “get to the chopper” and give your so-called constituents some reason to believe that you are looking after them.
I’m sure it can be claimed as a legitimate expense, but, even if it isn’t, who’s going to care – other politicians? (I crack me up.)
