Tamworth, Armidale and Inverell will all host quarter- finals as eight is whittled down to six in both first and second grade.
The three Tamworth teams and three of the four Armidale sides will figure in the first grade finals, with Inverell and Gunnedah rounding out the finals qualifiers.
Gunnedah heads to Armidale to face Norths United in one of the two elimination finals.
The other will see Tamworth FC hosting Demon Knights at Johnson Field.
OVA clash with North Armidale in the other game in Tamworth, with the winner to advance straight through to the preliminary final.
They’ll be joined by the winner of the match-up between Inverell Joeys and North Companions at the Inverell Sporting Complex.
The two have met once earlier in the season with Joeys getting up 3-2.
“We played well that day,” Companions coach Gavin Thompson said.
“We just had some defensive lapses.”
They will be looking to bounce back after going down to the Mushies 4-1 last week and being pushed down to second in the conference.
Heading in, they’d won six or seven straight and simply need to get back to displaying the form they did during that run.
“We just have to get back to the way we were playing before last Saturday,” Thompson said.
“We were playing well and dominating the midfield.
“If we can do that we should be a show.”
With captain-coach Jackson Haussler running the show there, the midfield is one of Joeys’ strengths.
“He’s scored a lot of goals and controls the team,” Thompson said.
Daniel Ferris also “goes well” up front.
“They finished top of the table up there –they’ve been doing things right,” he said.
Joeys led the Northern Conference from virtually the opening game of the season and had the minor premiership wrapped up before the final round.
All four finals will be played tomorrow, along with three of of the four second grade games.
