Between Tamworth and Brisbane, the cheapest E10 fuel I found last week, going up and coming back, was $131.7 per litre at United, Glen Innes.
That has long been a competitive outlet and, according to the station’s attendant, the petrol he sold me was sourced from Sydney.
My mind does boggle when, by deduction, I picture two fuel tankers simultaneously departing Sydney and heading north.
One unloads at United Tamworth at $142.3 per litre, the second travels an extra 420km to unload at United Glen Innes for $131.7 per litre.
Come on, Mr United. You can do better than this in the Country Music Capital!
How about $131.7 for us, too? Plus a cheap Tuesday each week.
Why not?
