IT’S interesting to read that Prime Minister Tony Abbott defends Bronwyn Bishop because she is contrite, chastened, penitent, remorseful and regretful after she was discovered doing something wrong.

I remember a couple of fellows in Bali spent 10 years being remorseful, but that didn’t stop them being shot.
It seems to me that the only time anybody is contrite or remorseful is when they get caught.
I’ve never heard of anybody being contrite or remorseful when they didn’t get caught.
The question is, would the Bali two still be dealing in drugs if they had not been caught?
And would Bronwyn Bishop still be flying in chartered helicopters at great expense if she had not been caught?
