Tamworth’s Mark Hamlin obviously isn’t a big fan of Sydney Swans player Adam Goodes.

I FOR one have had a gutful of the thin-skinned Adam Goodes.
He thinks it fine to ridicule a small child in front of thousands of people for calling him an ape.
What about all the other names players are called on a daily basis, yet if they were to complain, they would be told to toughen up and get on with the game, but not Goodes.
The politically correct started to call him a hero and a person who has brought the racism in sport to a head. Wrong. What he brought to a head was paranoia that everything was about him.
Being called an ape is no worse that being called a thug, a cheat, a mongrel and so on. I have called many a player an ape, in the context of “Ahh, you big ape, pick on someone your own size.”
No one stopped the game and called officials to have me removed. Why? Because no one really cared – the game went on.
Goodes and other politically correct people are calling on people to have more respect.
Why? He is a footballer, not a god, as I think he wants people to believe.
What did Goodes do as soon as he was named Australian of the Year? He immediately called the settling of Australia an invasion.
How sick and tired I am of hearing that.
That is how the entire modern world was developed.
We hear the AFL is behind Goodes. Of course it is. It is protecting the game.
If it was to say anything else, it would be condemned as racist and the bleeding hearts would come out of the woodwork to crucify it.
There are many great indigenous sports players out there who quietly go on with their job. They do not expect the world to come to an end because of some 13-year-old girl’s comment.
Get over your belief in your god-like status Goodes, and get on with life and sport.
Oh and by the way, if you have any backbone, how about you apologise to the young girl that you belittled in front of thousands.
Then, and only then, will people start to see you in a different light.
