Tamworth Town Hall hosted the star-studded Australian Wool Fashion Awards, which featured as judges Catriona Rowntree, Sarah-Jane Clarke and Jonathan Ward.
The audience witnessed the latest trends in fashion design and saw first-hand how diverse wool could be as a fabric.
High school students were well-represented, with the secondary section based around the theme cirque du wool.
The competition’s main aim is to educate and encourage young designers in the qualities of wool.
Secondary school students through to tertiary fashion students are enticed to use the many versatile wool and wool-blend fabrics to create their entries.
Prizes include cash, mentoring from leading Australian fashion designers and scholarships to study at recognised fashion institutes.
