Road crews have now turned their attention to Nowendoc Rd and are using a grader to remove ice and snow from the road.
It is hoped the road will reopen on Wednesday afternoon, however, caution signs will be in place warning of slippery conditions.
Duncans Creek Rd at Woolomin, which experienced snowfalls of up to 60cm, is now not expected to open until Monday.
The closure takes effect from a point about eight kilometres from the intersection with Nundle Rd where the hill starts.
Council has been unable to get a backhoe to the site to help with the removal of fallen trees because of ice and snow on the road.
While more snow is expected before the weekend, it is hoped conditions will have eased by Monday.
Barry Rd at Hanging Rock is open to traffic from Nundle up to Sheba Dams, but is closed after the dams.
Morrison Gap Rd remains closed to traffic and conditions are not expected to improve until after the weekend.
